China will play a unique and vital role in the effort to keep the global warming temperature increase below 1.5 degrees celsius. At COP21 China committed to having carbon dioxide emissions peak by 2030 or earlier and to increase the share of non-fossil fuels in its primary energy mix to around 20 per cent by that date. The 13th Five Year Plan, which Xinhua News Agency called the “greenest one ever”, provides a foundation for China to reach the targets of the Paris agrement and move towards a more environmentally sustainable growth model. Green finance is also set to play a key role in meeting these commitments which will require an estimated annual investment of RMB 2.9 trillion in green sectors. 

由英中貿(mào)易協(xié)會(huì)、中國英國商會(huì)和中國澳大利亞商會(huì)將于8月23日下午在北京共同舉辦研討會(huì)，共同探討中國在應(yīng)對(duì)氣候變化和清潔能源領(lǐng)域所采取的舉措。

研討會(huì)將邀請(qǐng)來自英國和澳大利亞大使館的嘉賓現(xiàn)場(chǎng)分享他們與中國在可持續(xù)能源領(lǐng)域合作的心得；來自英國碳信托公司的首席政策分析師Jan van der Ven將分析中國應(yīng)對(duì)氣候變化的現(xiàn)行措施及其實(shí)現(xiàn)第21屆聯(lián)合國氣候變化大會(huì)承諾的前景；中國銀行將派代表探討綠色金融和中國的新型綠色債券市場(chǎng)對(duì)其氣候治理達(dá)標(biāo)的作用；其他業(yè)內(nèi)專家還將就在華開展能源領(lǐng)域業(yè)務(wù)所面臨的趨勢(shì)變化分享專業(yè)見解。

We have invited speakers from the Australian and British embassies to talk about how they work with their Chinese counterparts on sustainable energy issues. Leading policy analyst Jan van der Ven from The Carbon Trust will examine current actions and the prospects of China meeting its COP21 commitments. A representative from the Bank of China will discuss the role of green finance and China’s new green bond market in meeting climate targets and industry experts will share insights into how doing business in the energy sector in China is likely to evolve over the coming years. 

Attendees will be able to exchange their views on the topic of climate change and energy in China and ask questions to the panel of experts. You will also have the opportunity to network with government officials and colleagues from UK and Australian industry.

被媒體稱為“最典型的綠色發(fā)展規(guī)劃”的 “十三五”規(guī)劃為中國完成巴黎協(xié)定目標(biāo)并進(jìn)入更加環(huán)保的經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)模式奠定了基礎(chǔ)。

綠色金融對(duì)于中國實(shí)現(xiàn)上述承諾也十分重要，這也意味著中國環(huán)保產(chǎn)業(yè)的年投入資金將達(dá)到約2.9萬億人民幣。
